Deborah Lindquist

For the fashion forward and style savvy, it’s not always easy being green. But the couture-inspired creations of Deborah Lindquist are changing all that. As one of LA’s most sought after environmentally-conscious designers, Deborah creates exquisite apparel out of a mix of “reincarnated” and new Earth-friendly fabrics.

She has dressed trendsetters such as Sharon Stone, Gwen Stefani, Keyshia Cole, Demi Moore, Hilary Duff, Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, and Charlize Theron.  Her designs have graced the runways of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios and the screens of primetime television. But for Deborah, it’s a passion for the planet and the natural beauty of her West Coast surroundings that inspire her.

Launched in 2004, Deborah’s eco-conscious clothing line combines environmental responsibility with a cutting-edge aesthetic. Deborah works her fashion magic with a

mixture of environmentally-friendly fabrications, including recycled cashmere, repurposed kimonos and saris, vintage silk scarves, and sustainable materials such as hemp, organic cotton, and organic wool. The resulting designs are as striking as they are ecologically sensitive. As a trailblazer at the forefront of the stylish green clothing movement, Deborah is making an impact in the fashion world while remaining true to her love for the environment.

Deborah was trained at the Parsons School of Design, New York City. Her avant-garde apparel has been showcased in numerous publications including InStyle, Lucky Magazine, People, and GenLux. She has participated in the United Nations Fashion Show for World Environment Day and the Environmental Media Awards. Upcoming events for Deborah include the Organic Exchange fashion event in Utrecht, the Netherlands in September 2006 as well as the Ethical Fashion Show in Paris in October 2006.
